FORMATION OF KEY COMPONENTS OF GENERAL CULTURAL COMPETENCEOF STUDENTS OF HUMANITIES
People have always lived in a diverse ethnic society, which is characterized by the rapid integration of information technologies in all spheres of society's life. The development of information technology enables people to interact across cultures through social networking sites, blogs, and chat rooms. Many industries have a significant amount of international cooperation, and the career of a modern specialist in many areas increasingly involves working with people from different parts of the world. Despite the fact that society is becoming more culturally diverse and globalized, problems related to inequality and bias in cross-cultural interaction remain. That is why the article focuses on the need to develop general cultural competence among students of Humanities. An essential analysis of the formation of key components of general cultural competence of students as a condition for their competitiveness in future professional activities is carried out. Pedagogical conditions of the process of formation of general cultural competence, which are of theoretical significance and serve as a reference point for the development of technology for professional training of students of Humanities, are identified. The list of opportunities that students should master as a result of implementation and compliance with the selected conditions for the formation of components of general cultural competence is described. The cultural knowledge received by the subjects of training should be integrated into every aspect of students ' educational and professional activities. They must be trained and able to effectively use their knowledge, taking into account the cultural diversity of society and the state as a whole.
The results are presented in the article and form a scientific and theoretical basis for further study of this issue. In this regard, the direction of further research is proposed, namely, the influence of social media on the formation of general cultural competence of students of Humanities, since the rapid integration and globalization of information technologies in the life of each person is an undeniable factor in its impact on the individual.
