Aims and Scope - to promote the development of research and initiatives in the field of education and upbringing of the younger generation in the context of the challenges posed by the postcolonial period, rapid urbanization, digitization, and technological advancement in society. This includes the study of pressing issues related to the organization and assessment of the quality of online and blended learning, teacher training, and the educational environment for equitable access to education for children in Ukraine. Additionally, the journal aims to preserve, systematize, and popularize the achievements of Ukrainian pedagogy within the global academic community.

Copyright and Licensing

Licensing terms ensure preservation of copyright for authors, and granting the journal right of first publication in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution License CC BY-NC-SA, which allows others to read, download, distribute, search, and use the full texts of the articles as a basis for their works in a non-commercial way, while authors of derivative works credit the original authors and license their works under the same terms.

Open Access Policy

The collection of scientific papers “Ukrainian Educational Journal” follows the open access policy since 2022 which means that all content of the articles is freely available without any associated subscriptions or pay-per-view fees according to the BOAI definition of open access . Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in the journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Full-text access to scientific articles of the journal is presented on the official website in the Archives  without limit in time and free of charge immediately after publication of the journal.

Archiving

The archive of the “Ukrainian Educational Journal” is being stored in V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. Furthermore, the authors are allowed to deposit a copy of their paper in an institutional or other repository of their choice without restraint. The repository policy regards the different versions of the paper to be posted by authors, such as: submitted version, accepted version (Author Accepted Manuscript), published version (Version of Record).

Plagiarism policy

The Editorial Board of the collection of scientific papers “Ukrainian Educational Journal” accepts for publication only original articles that have not been published or submitted for publication before. Check for plagiarism is ca mandatory procedure conducted before the manuscript reviewer is appointed. 

Any manuscript that exhibits clear signs of plagiarism will be automatically rejected.

The editorial board of the collection of scientific papers “Ukrainian Educational Journal” uses Unicheck  software for the check for plagiarism.

Use of Large Language Models and AI Tools
The "Ukrainian Educational Journal" conforms to the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) recommendations on chatbots, ChatGPT, and scholarly manuscripts, as well as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)’s position statement on Authorship and AI tools.

Authors are required to explicitly indicate the use of AI tools in their manuscript (specifying which tool was used and for what purpose), preferably in the methods section. Authors are also responsible for the accuracy, validity, and appropriateness of any content generated by these tools, and must ensure that the citations provided are correct and that the submitted material does not contain plagiarism.

Editors and reviewers are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the review process. Editors must not share information about submitted manuscripts or reviewer reports with any AI tools. Reviewers are prohibited from using such tools to generate their reviews.
