Abstract

The article analyzes the content of researches in the field of individualization of schooling promulgated by Ukrainian psychologists in the 1966-1976 in the leading professional publications - scientific and methodological collection-book “Psychology.” The directions of researches, the most representatively presented in the book were : depth study of the features of the learning process and the related issue – peculiarity of the development of memory, studies of the special features of primary school pupils’ assimilation of knowledge, pupil’s manifestations of identity, issues of professional self-determination of pupils. Thematic and informative analysis of the collection-book “Psychology” articles’ for the first 10 years of its publication shows that Ukrainian psychologists constantly examined various aspects of the individualization of the educational process at school. In quantitatively such products occupied 16% (1969) up to 63% (1967) of the total volume of articles published in collections. Most often, scientists conducted experiments in the field of diagnosing or ascertaining different aspects, much less - in a laboratorial experiment or by using special equipment. Important for school practice (but rarely carried out at the time) formative experiment deals with the changing the dynamics of the intellectual development of 1-2 grades pupils (depending on the content and methods of education) is reflected in the O.Skripchenko’ article. As an important complex psychophysiological studies of specific features of pupils’ thinking regards in E.Legkov’s and M.Malkov’s researches. As an actual positive of scientific exploration for the period consider revising the significant amount of research works on career guidance and professional self-determination of school pupils. However, it found that the most of all articles under consideration was devoted to the study of individual psychological differences of pupils in learning and studying, the problems of upbringing was paid far less work. Among them were dominating themes of diagnosing the state of consciousness and conceptual installation to upbringing pupils only by positive examples. Not registered publications on the study of the psychological characteristics of pupils during learhing chemistry, biology.
