Abstract
In the article, the main views of the European pedagogues on lifelong learning, its significance for each member of the modern society were represented as nowadays this topic is more than topical due to the rapid changes in the labour market which is constantly providing some new requirements for the professionals who, in their turn, need to update their education.Furthermore, European education can be a brilliant example to follow for other countries which are going to make some changes in the lifelong learning of their citizens. The main indicators which make it possible to determine the level of such education quality as well as the ways to improve it in the nearest future were defined. In particularly, they include the academic materials that are used in the educational process, education availability, its strategies and development. Besides this, in the article, the leading education principles of the lifelong learning were demonstrated; they comprise the quality of the education of foreign languages teachers, the creation of the updated pedagogical tools, the assurance of the cooperation between different academic institutions, etc. Except for the abovementioned issues, an important input of the author is the research on the certain recommendations of the European pedagogues and politicians for the development of the abovementioned education area as well as the conducted analysis of the legislative documents which regulate the studied issue at different levels, namely, scientific one, academic time level, and the level of teacher’s education quality improvement. The research will be of special interest for scholars, pedagogues, schoolchildren, their parents and everyone who is interested in the lifelong improvement of their own foreign language communicative skills.
