Abstract

The article explains the importance of forming the conceptual apparatus of pupils of the Law-Oriented Classes in education law; focuses on the conditions for effective activity of pupils in mastering legal concepts. It is found that the theoretical component of the school Law covers the categories, legal concepts, terms, judgments, reasoning, patterns, trends and causal relationships. The manipulation of law concepts allows students to learn how to formulate conclusions and generalizations, to establish the patterns and relationships, to analyze theories and concepts. It supports the definition of legal concepts as logically decorated general thoughts on the class of legal occurrence that give conscious, systematic knowledge about the connection and relations between legal occurrence and processes. The work of pupils on the formation of the conceptual apparatus teaches them the techniques of teaching, reflective activities and practical application of acquired knowledge. It is noted that the problem of the formation of the conceptual apparatus of pupils in study of Law is important because: the study of Law begins in the 9th form from the practical course in Law; mastering legal concepts causes some difficulties for pupils because of the nature of legal science. It is noted that the main condition for the formation of pupils thinking is systematic in the training, which involves the mastery of concepts in sequence. The provisions of the article are illustrated by examples of pupil learning section «Constitutional law of Ukraine» curriculum «Law (profile level), 10–11th forms».
