Abstract

In the article, the place of patriotic education in the system of professional students’ training of university of I and II levels of accreditation in Eastern Ukraine was covered. The factors that affect the professional training of youth in the universities of eastern regions of Ukraine were determined. The analysis of the category “patriotism” in the contemporary scientific literature was conducted. A new definition for this expanded concept, which meets the requirements of the time, was formulated. The necessity of a harmonious combination of professional training and patriotic education for the formation of a new generation of professionally competent and patriotic Ukrainian to be able to work productively for the development of the motherland was specified. The content of vocational training in a patriotic was exemplified by Slovyansk College of the National Aviation University. The essence components of professional competence of future technology programmer, intellectual, practical, information-analytical, economic, psychological, legal, social, communicative, professional selfdevelopment, operational and technical competences were defined. The following components of patriotic education in the educational process of college were determined: historical and professional, legal and analytical, civil-reflective components. The logical interrelationship of the abovementioned competencies with their components was grounded. The form of the implementation of each of the components of the professional patriotic training was represented. It was determined that the introduction of such system promotes students’ awareness of indissoluble connection “I - Fatherland”, and the formed level of professional competence rises the own self-esteem and allows you to accept Ukraine as a mother, not as a source of enrichment.
