Abstract
The article presents the results of diagnostic studies aimed at clarifying the initial level of future teachers for continuing professional self-development. Under professional self-development author understands conscious human activity aimed at the complete self-realization of themselves as individuals in the social sphere, which determines their profession. It is proved that the problem of professional self-development of future teachers should be considered in the light of readiness for its implementation. “The readiness of the future teacher to continuous professional self” is a holistic relatively stable personality formation that contains a set of interrelated determinants of continuous professional development of future teachers, providing their professional self-development. The article presents the results of diagnostic studies on individual methods and summarizes the results of the initial diagnosis of future teachers for continuing professional self-value by motivational component. The causes of the current state of readiness of the future teachers for professional selfdevelopment were determined; they are the lack of necessary and sufficient conditions in higher education aimed at continuous professional self-development of future teachers; absence of practical training of students to draw up the programs of self-improvement of the person and the practical implementation of programs of continuing professional self-development; lack of specially developed integrated systems and technologies aimed at the formation of future teachers for continuing professional self-development. Results of the study showed mostly low value awareness of future teachers need targeted professional self-development.
