Abstract

The paper studies the quality management of higher education in the context of European integration processes as one of the important structural elements in the system of higher education institutions of Ukraine in modern international relations. The interpretation of the essence of the category "quality of education" is analyzed and the main characteristics and components of the quality of education are investigated. The main goal of higher education in Ukraine and the main reforms to improve the quality of higher education in the context of European integration processes are analyzed. The main priority directions of the state educational policy are investigated. It is determined that the main basis of European integration processes is the preservation of European cultural traditions. The aim of the work is to study the quality management of higher education in the context of European integration processes and to establish the main indicators of efficiency and effectiveness of higher education institutions. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been identified: in general, to analyze the state management of the quality of higher education in the context of European integration processes; to analyze the current state of quality management in higher education; identify the main characteristics and components of the quality of education; to propose preventive measures for the implementation of measures of state management of the quality of higher education in the context of European integration processes. General scientific and special research methods were used in the research, in particular analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization and system-structural analysis. As a result of the study it was found that the main indicators of efficiency and effectiveness of higher education institutions are the number of applicants for higher education, the scale of activity, research performance, international recognition based on ranking positions in one of the international rankings and the level of employment of graduates. It is determined that the system of higher education in Ukraine needs immediate reform for the implementation of relevant regulations for integration into the European educational community.
