Abstract

The system of Ukrainian higher technical education, which is traditionally aimed at training a highly qualified specialist, does not pay enough attention to his formation as a person, an individual with widely developed human qualities. The main problem is that the teaching staff of technical universities, which usually grows within their educational institutions, does not undergo proper psychological and pedagogical training, which deprives the next generation of students of innovative pedagogical technologies. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to focus on the humanistic orientation and the humanitarian component of the training of modern masters of technical profile. The purpose of the article is to determine the place and role of the course of higher school pedagogy in the system of professional training of masters of technical direction as potential future teachers of higher school. Conclusions. Due to the insufficient pedagogical training of future teachers of technical institutions of higher education in the conditions of postgraduate studies (on the example of Pridneprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture), it is considered necessary to focus on the course of pedagogy of higher school in the conditions of master's degree. With well-planned lectures and practical classes, undergraduates master not only the theoretical foundations of higher education pedagogy, but also acquire practical skills in organizing and conducting lectures, master the techniques of self-observation, self-analysis, convinced of the need for continuous professional development to prevent professional deformities. As part of the planned research work, undergraduates have the opportunity to conduct pedagogical observation and analyze the work of modern research and teaching staff in order to identify both positive features of their professional activities and shortcomings that may lead to the cessation of professional genesis.
