Abstract
The comparative education genesis in Ukraine in terms of the development of pedagogical comparativistics abroad is analyzed in the article. The comparative education development periods typologies elaborated by leading scholars are presented. The transformation of the comparative education methodological postulates is traced from the linear borrowings towards a multidimensional analysis on the basis of the system, cultural, synergetic and prognostic approaches.
