COMPARATIVE EDUCATION IN UKRAINE IN DIMENSION OF WORLD COMPARATIVISTICS DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The comparative education genesis in Ukraine in terms of the development of pedagogical comparativistics abroad is analyzed in the article. The comparative education development periods typologies elaborated by leading scholars are presented. The transformation of the comparative education methodological postulates is traced from the linear borrowings towards a multidimensional analysis on the basis of the system, cultural, synergetic and prognostic approaches.
The development of the comparative education methodology in the independent Ukraine is analyzed, the achieved outcomes are outlined. Its movement from the analysis of the educational phenomena in a descriptive format to a multidimensional
one is exposed. A tendency of synchronization of national comparative education methodology with the world one is determined. It is stated that passing to the format of the educational phenomena studies based on interdependence is a challenge for
Ukraine. The prognostic function of the comparative education for the selection of general tendencies, consistencies, prognosis for the educational policy developers becomes of high priority
