Retraction Policy

The editorial board of the Ukrainian Educational Journal adheres to the principles of academic integrity and the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the retraction of published articles. Retraction is applied in cases where a publication contains serious violations that call into question the reliability of the results or involve breaches of copyright or ethical standards.

Grounds for Retraction

  1. Data falsification or fabrication.
  2. Plagiarism or copyright infringement.
  3. Serious errors that render the research findings unreliable.
  4. Ethical violations (e.g., research involving humans or animals without proper approval).
  5. Failure to comply with conflict of interest policies or standards of academic integrity.

Retraction Procedure

  1. Retraction may be initiated by the editorial board or upon request from an author, reviewer, or reader.
  2. The circumstances are carefully examined, and evidence of misconduct is verified.
  3. All relevant parties are informed of the intention to retract the article.
  4. A formal decision on retraction is made and published on the journal’s website, including the reason for retraction.
  5. Retraction does not result in complete removal of the article; it remains accessible with a clear “Retracted” marking.

Principles

  • Transparency and openness of the process.
  • Confidentiality of all parties until a final decision is made.
  • Impartiality and objectivity.
