Abstract
The problem of designing and implementing competence-oriented tasks in the process of teaching of russian language in schools of Ukraine are studied in the article. The definition of this term was provided. Competence oriented tasks were considered as integrative didactic unit that contains a content, technology, training and quality evaluation of student achievements and provides the subject as well as key competencies. The structure and principles of competence oriented tasks were observed. The article deals with the difficulties in the design of competence-oriented tasks. The ways for solution these problems in teaching russian language based on competence approach were found out.
