Abstract

Constant socio-economic changes in society and the rapid pace of technological development drive reactive changes in the labor market. The professional competence of future specialists is a key to the successful employment of graduates from vocational pre-tertiary education institutions in public authorities, enterprises (institutions, organizations) of various forms of ownership and sectors of the national economy, including the legal field. Although the modern format of the educational process in Ukraine is shaped by the current realities associated with Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, in our view, it does not sufficiently address issues such as the practical training of law students in combat zones, which is a significant component of the dual system of education. Moreover, legal acts do not provide clear recommendations or direct solutions for educators on how to address these issues locally.

Under such conditions, the efforts of educational institutions in Ukraine, aimed at developing professional competencies in students, fostering youth with a strong civic position, and maintaining a positive emotional climate during learning, unfortunately, are almost diminished. As a result, there is an urgent need to rethink approaches to organizing education and accelerate the adaptation of the national education system to present-day realities.

It is known that the legal challenges of crime are a reflection of the trends in the development of society. Undoubtedly, the state creates conditions for the continuous work of law-making bodies to improve legislation, activities to adapt some normative legal acts to the realities of today, ensures the effective work of the system of judicial and law enforcement agencies, whose activities are aimed at prevention, investigation, neutralization of offenses, providing legal assessment of criminal acts, etc. But for the effective fight against crime, a staff of professionals is needed. Therefore, employees of the bodies of operative and investigative activities and pre-trial investigation must have theoretical knowledge and practical skills in applying the norms of criminal and other branches of law in the field of detection, investigation and prevention of crimes at a high level.

The experience of the teachers of the KADFC in the development of modern methodological support for disciplines of the specialty 081 "Law", the active involvement of students in joint work, which requires from them greater concentration and attention to details and, as a result, improving the quality of its assimilation, testifies to the dynamism and constant modernization of the educational process. Under martial law, amidst the sound of sirens, and sometimes explosions, the work of college teachers is aimed at high-quality organization of education, taking into account the educational losses caused, in particular, by the conduct of hostilities directly on the territory of Kharkiv region. Compensatory tools in such conditions are: conducting classes with the help of multimedia presentations, showing educational videos, "virtual trips" to the justice authorities, which gives a feeling of being present at court hearings as a participant in criminal proceedings, remote participation in the work of pre-trial investigation bodies during the implementation of their operational and investigative activities, which partially compensates for the classic model of internship directly at workplaces,  which is positively perceived by students and significantly affects the quality of their assimilation of the educational material of the discipline, forms the necessary special and professional competencies.
